Facade Grant Award

We have received grand news from our own Lieutenant Governor Mr. Mitch Landrieu. Although there has been serious competition with other historic structures throughout the state, Houma's own 7887 Main project has been awarded the 2009-2010 Main Street Redevelopment Incentive Grant. Mr Landrieu stated in the award letter, "... preserving the Heymann Building in the historic commercial district of Houma is an investment in enriching our collective community assets statewide. Healthy, vibrant historic commercial districts are clear indications of healthy communities." ... and we surely believe Houma is becoming the benchmark for which other main street communities will strive to become.
We would truly like to thank Ms Anne Picou and the entire Houma Downtown Development District, Leon Steel, our Architects Nano, LLC, our General Contractor JD Underwood, LLC and everyone else who has been such a tremendous help making this project happen.
